Soccer camp all together

The three amigos all did soccer camp this summer.  They all had a good time.  It was in the evenings (due to the heat), but this made them sleep very well at night.

S had a great time at camp.  It was his first year.  He's pretty aggressive for a little guy.  He won an award the first night for helping to pick up without being asked.

The camp gave all the kids t-shirts and they were supposed to wear them the last day of camp.  Somehow, S ends up a huge shirt.  The other kids in his group have regular sized shirts, but not S.  He comes to me and says, "Mom, they said I am wearing a dress."  It did look like a dress on him.  At least he is a silly little boy and thought that was hilarious- a boy wearing a dress to play soccer.

J had a good time.  He continues to be one of the largest kids in his division.  His ball handling skills have improved quite a bit.

Even W had a good time.  He doesn't hate soccer, but it sure isn't a love of his.  The camp is so fun, he didn't realize how much work he was doing.

The camp is great.  They are so organized and make so many fun drills and games.  Plus, they are British so the kids think they talk funny so that adds an extra element of fun.

Here's my son with his cheesy smile with his age group and coach.  They had this huge guy as their coach, but he did so good with all these little ones.  My favorite moment was during a potty break.  Of course, the boys were done super fast and the girls are taking a little longer in the bathroom.  To keep the boys occupied, he tells them to start digging for buried treasure.  The boys are now in the middle of a sand/dirt parking lot digging away having a great time.

J and W were together.  W enjoyed playing with his brother.

While you wait...

We have been preparing for fun, having fun, and recovering from fun.  I have lots to blog about.  While I work on photo editing, you can enjoy some shots of Baby K.  She is just too much fun to dress.

I will have some new posts soon.

Lego Club II

The boys had another lego club outing at the library.  They quickly picked up where they left off last time.

They individually built some creations, but then quickly decided it would be way cool to build together.

They ended up recruiting 6 other boys to build together.  They built this rather large lego community with cars, swimming pools, and much more.  The librarian seemed impressed.  Although she admitted that she had no idea how she would transport this to the display case.  The boys took special pride in that.

Sound proofing

Baby K is really a good baby.  It is rare for her to scream for no apparent reason.  One afternoon (after her doctor's appointment that involved shots) she was pretty cranky.

She was crying a lot no matter what I did.  I was trying to quiet her in the living room.

When I walked into the dining room, this is what I saw.

Big brother decided she was interrupting his reading, so he went and got Dad's shop headset to deaden the noise.

You got to do, what you got to do.  It must have been a really good book!

Happy 40th Birthday Captain!

My husband turns 40 years old today!  He is such a wonderful husband.  Here's a picture of us on our cruise a couple of years ago.  He is thoughtful and loving.

He is an amazing father.  He really excels in this area.  Myself and my kids are blessed by his dedication as a father.

He is amazingly handy.  He can build toy boxes and...

tree houses and a myriad of other things.  I should never doubt his ability to build or fix anything.

He is a hard worker who always provides for his family.
We are truly blessed!

Happy Birthday!

Cousin E's birthday

We took a trip up to my sister's for Cousin E's 9th birthday!  These 2 boys sure love each other.  They love playing together and haven't missed a birthday.

I got home and realized I didn't get lots of group shots of the cousins.  Oh well.  Here they are eating at the kids' table.

S was in heaven, because my sister has 2 kittens, Prince and Princess.  The best part was that the kittens liked the kids and let them hold them.  S carried this kitten around like a baby for hours.  It was so cute.  He wants a cat so bad, if only his mom wasn't terribly allergic.

Here's Cousin A holding the kitten.  She put a bow in the kitten's hair.

The birthday party was at a local college.  They have a newly renovated aquatic and sport center.  The pool area has this really cool lazy river.  It was a lot of fun for kids and adults.

Here's W playing around.  He decided to use a noodle, inner tube, and life jacket all at the same time.  You can never be too cautious.

S was initially very hesitant.  He was grabbing on to me and worrying that he was going to "sunk."  Eventually, he warmed up to the place and had a great time.  He exclaimed that he really liked that place.

There was no shortage of people to hold Baby K.  My dad has all the pictures of her cousins holding her.  She got to meet her Aunt J and Uncle T for the first time.

It was our first trip as a family of 6.  She did great in the car.  She slept very well at night.  I would definitely call the trip a success.
Happy Birthday E!  Glad we could be there.

Granny Jean came to visit

Granny Jean (my grandmother) came to visit and see her newest great-granddaughter for the first time.

Miss K put on quite the show talking and smiling.  She loves having someone talk to her.

We had a good visit and dinner at a mexican restaurant.  The boys loved showing off for Granny Jean.  They seem to talk very fast when someone is visiting.  They had lots to tell her.

It was great to see her.  Looking forward to seeing her again soon.
