Well, the house renovation is coming along. This is the captain plastering in the living room. We have scraped all the popcorn in the house. We are both so sore. You can't see it but the captain has an ace wrap on his right hand. Ten hours a day of scraping and plastering for 4 days in a row has made his arm very achey and swollen. We should be ready to start texturing tomorrow afternoon and then on to painting next week. These are pictures of the boys' bathroom. We had to make the executive decision that the blue floral wallpaper will have to stay up for awhile. We won't get it renovated until after we move in. At least they are blue flowers and not pink. These pictures really don't do it justice. It's pretty ugly. Looking forward to posting the "after" pictures.

I love these flowers. They are called Blue Daze. The captain takes all the boys shopping at the hardware store for some flowers for mom every Mother's Day. My boys think anything is cool if it comes from the hardware store. The test pilot pilot picked out the blue daze for me. I have really grown to love them. They have these small delicate blue flowers all over them and they are only open in the cool mornings. The flowers will close up around 10:30am or so.
It has been an adjustment getting the test pilot up early to go to school, but then this morning EVERYONE was up before 6:30am. You could say I was not very happy with this development. So my morning has gotten off to different start and we will once again be flexible. (That is a hard thing for me- I like structure!) The poor test pilot inherited this from me. Anyhow, as I ate my early breakfast this morning and looked out the window I was able to enjoy my beautiful flowers. They had a very calming effect. If I wasn't eating breakfast so early I would not have been able to enjoy my flowers. Thank you God for your creation and taking me off my schedule to enjoy them!

I had a good laugh during his practice before the game. The coach says "dribble the ball to me." So the test pilot promptly picks up the ball and starts dribbling the soccer ball across the grass with his hands. I started laughing. Poor guy! They should use different terminology. I guess when your mom always played basketball that's what you know. After the game we talked about how dribbling in soccer is with your feet and dribbling a basketball is with your hands. It's the little things I always forget to teach my kids.
