Crazy hair

This is how Crash wakes up most mornings.

Isn't he lovely? I don't know how he does it.

This is generally followed by the wetting and combing of this rat's nest of hair. "It's a joyous moment for all", she says very sarcastically.

AWANA cars in progress

The boys have been working on their AWANA cars the last few weeks in preparation for the Gospel 500 race in February. The Captain has decided that the test pilot is going to be in charge of his own car this year.

Here he is polishing his axles with some guidance from the Captain.

The test pilot designed his own car this year. He drew it out on some paper and the Captain helped him cut it out. It's a very interesting design.

Here's Crash's car. He has helped with the sanding and the priming. His attention span doesn't last too long, but he is doing good.

Next, we are off to the craft store to buy paint. The test pilot keeps talking about two tone sparkley yellow paint. Where did he get this idea? This should definitely be interesting. Knowing my husband, he will make it work.

I will keep you updated.

Baby blues

This outfit came from Nana for the Wingman's birthday. She said she got it because she thought it would go great with his blue eyes.

Well, I would have to agree! Isn't he cute. Sorry about the shadows.

I still can't believe he is 2! What a fine young man he is turning into.

Happy Birthday Wingman!

I remember the day you were born. I just love this picture with him looking at me. God just knew he was the perfect boy for us. (My hair was short!)

Oh that sweet smile at your 1st birthday! You had very little hair and weren't walking yet, but you had a big personality.

We've got some hair, are running, and a little boy who knows what he wants. How fast they grow up!

We love you! Happy Birthday little guy! Now go eat some chocolate cake.

Slightly disturbing

This is what happens when Wingman plays Mr. Potato head by himself. He actually did pretty good with the daddy, but the rest of the family looks a little scary.

Football party

We celebrated Wingman's 2nd birthday this weekend. His birthday is not until the 21st but sadly that was the only day we could do it. Life has gotten busy lately.

Of course, we had a football theme. That kid loves balls especially football. We've taught him how to make the touchdown sign and say "Go Bucs!" However, he knows to cheer for University of Texas as well. We are a house divided.

I found this craft idea on google to make football helmets out of milk jugs. (Crash's is on backwards.) They had fun decorating them and wearing them for the rest of the party. The Captain said it's good we did this now because those Little Apple heads will be too big very soon.

Wingman liked the birthday singing but he wasn't quite sure what to do about the candles. I had to show him one time and then we replayed the whole scene and he blew out the candles with a little help from mom.

His brothers got him some new books including a Sandra Boynton book so we look forward to more good book reading times.

He loved eating his cake with his fork, but became frustrated when his hands got dirty. He is the cleanest kid.

He still is average for height and weight, but his head size is off the charts.

He thinks he is 4 and tries to do everything his big brothers do. Surprisingly, he is pretty successful at it too.

He loves to play with any kind of ball: football, basketball, hockey, golf, soccer, etc.

Wingman has an amazing vocabulary for a little guy.

He hates to be left out. If you really want to see a tantrum, just try and exclude him from something including the test pilot's homework. He climbs up to the table with a pencil and paper and goes to work. It's very cute and very frustrating all at the same time.

He runs too fast, falls very hard, and almost always has some sort of cut or bruise on his head.

He is a precious little boy who is full of life.

We thank God for him everyday. Can't imagine life without him! Love you big guy!
