It is our 10th Anniversary today! I can't believe it. Time really does fly.
I was going to post some of our wedding pictures but my scanner is currently not responding so that will have to be for another day. (The Captain looks so young.)
Around Christmas, we were thinking about planning and saving so we could do something special like a cruise or a trip, but then we came home from our Christmas trip and realized the Captain had been laid off. Oh well! The cruise will wait.
My parents took a cruise for their 30th Anniversary. Hopefully, we won't have to wait that long.
Some of my favorite memories from our wedding:
1. Lots of family from both sides flew in for the wedding and we had a fun bar-b-q in my parents back yard the day before the wedding. It was the first or second time I met most of the Captain's family so that a nice opprotunity to visit.
2. The groom's cake. Appropriately, it was a field of grass and flowers with an airplane on top. You have to see that picture.
3. I am normally a scheduled, obsessive compulsive type person. You would think I would be over the top on my wedding day. However, I was not. I can not explain it except a gift from the Lord. You could have told me my dog died and it would have have not been a big deal. I was just floating on cloud 9. (My dog did die while we were on the honeymoon.)
4. I was literally shaking as I walked down the aisle with my dad and as I got on the platform up front. (You can see my bouquet bouncing up and down in the video.) As soon as I latched on to the Captain I was totally calm. (I was not nervous about getting married as much as I was nervous walking and standing in front of hundreds of people. I don't like to be in front of big crowds.)
5. My bachelorette party the night before the wedding. It was all my female family as well as the Captain's plus the bridal party. I have never laughed so hard in my life. My cheeks hurt from so much laughing. It was a fun time (nothing sleazy) with lots of fun family and friends.
6. Our reception was a blast. It was just so much fun. We danced. We ate. We laughed. We mingled and visited with lots of family and friends whom we had not seen in a while. It was fun to watch others have fun.
It's been a fun and wild 10 years. Never even would have imagined the path that our lives have taken, but it's been great. Looking forward to many more.

OH, happy! happy! anniversary!! Yea! May God bless you richly this year!
Happy anniversary. Sadly, I remember how many people seemed to have pity on me, and say "you'll find the right one soon." or something to that effect. Like being 22y/o made me seem hopeless! Have to laugh. But I remember having lots of fun as well. Happy Anniversary!
